Hypnotherapy
“Healing doesn’t mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls your life.”
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring, beneficial, positive state that we all experience on a day-to-day basis. The word hypnosis comes from the greek word “Hypnos”, which means sleep. Although they share some similar characteristics, hypnosis is not sleep.
Hypnosis or hypnotherapy is an open state of mind, in which one’s mind becomes very suggestible to change in their perceptions, sensations, emotions, memories, thoughts or behaviors.
It’s a type of mind-body medicine.
It is a heightened state of concentration and focused attention. During a hypnotherapy session, an individual is guided through a process to induce a trance-like state that helps him/her focus his/hers minds, respond more readily to suggestions, and become deeply relaxed. Hypnotherapy utilizes the heightened awareness of the hypnotic state to help you focus on a problem more deeply.
